WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT OUR RADIO NEWS PRODUCTION & TALK RADIO COURSES.

Manuel Rueda is an English speaking journalist from Bogota Colombia. He files & presents features for various world famous broadcasters including The Voice of America. He attended a News Presentation and Production Course. It dealt with presentation and production issues, also voice techniques including the use of sound in his productions and scripting matters. Manuel in his own words below.

"I'm a freelance journalist and I took a two day course with Rod because I wanted to improve the way that I deliver my scripts. Rod heard my tapes, even before I had arrived. Once I was there he gave me a detailed diagnosis of my problems and showed me several techniques with which I could Improve my delivery.

He showed me several things about my voice I hadnīt realized before. We had some intense practice sessions and also listened to some sample tracks. Really trained my ear to distinguish the good stuff from the bad."

"
Rod was energetic, motivating and truly concerned with my journalistic future. I canīt say I totally "fixed" my delivery problem in two days. But I did improve and Rod has showed me several techniques I can use to move forward.

It will take some more practice on my own, to get where I want to be, but the nice thing is that Rod is willing to monitor my progress."

Dear Rod

Many thanks for the 3 day radio news course and digital editing sessions. I found you style wonderful. Putting it altogether for me was great. I worked on real stories and cut my own packages on day 2 as well.

Best Wishes Miranda Sole.

Hi Guys

I'm happy to recommend your Radio News Training. The 3 days I spent with News Trainer Rod Lucas for the presentation and production of news reports and feature packages has proved to be very valuable.

On my journalistic training previously I was never shown or taught the aspects you coached me on. Also the use of sound in my reports has been a real eye opener. My news editor is impressed. Hey it's make the news more interesting right. Radio News production doesn't have to be boring.
