Latest Radio School News July 2009: Yet another success story for the Radio School. Former student Brett Whittaker has been selected to present the Breakfast Show on the new Wayland FM (Norfolk) 107.3. Personally trained by radio guru Rod Lucas.

We're also delighted that recent Radio School student Pete Ashton has joined radio station Calon FM 105FM (Wrexham North Wales). Pete's going to present a new Lunchtime show (June 2009). Trained by Rod Lucas. Our success stories continue, recent Radio School trainee, Karen Davey has joined the new radio station in Bolton Lancashire, Bolton FM (May 2009). She's also been offered a new morning programme on Diversity FM. Read Karen's comments on our radio presenter training below. Another 2009 success is Richard White who is now a freelance presenter for The Local Radio Company (North Yorkshire). All trained by radio presenter coach Rod Lucas at The Radio School (April 2009).

The Radio School in collaboration with India's   Rod Lucas (founder of The Radio School) has signed a partnership agreement with the The Academy of Broadcasting in India. Rod says "this collaboration with the biggest Broadcasting Academy across India will mean our British Radio School will be actively involved in one of the most exciting new radio markets in the world. The Radio School now offer half day taster radio presenter coaching 1 to 1. Join radio guru Rod Lucas for a sampler morning session. You'll work a broadcast mixing control desk, playing songs and presenting some basic programme elements like traffic & weather reports, requests and what's on etc. You'll get a really good idea of whether you want to make a career into Radio Presenting. Rod will also offer help, guidance and advice.

In order to help you move on and up in radio everyone who takes one of our individually designed radio presenter (radio DJ) training courses, is sent an in depth course report detailing their broadcast training course performance. If you pass your radio course you'll also be awarded The Radio School Diploma of Broadcast Achievement. We aim to complete all radio courses with a programme showreel demo CD of your broadcast performance for marketing your skills. All of these items will be most valuable when presented to 3rd parties when applying for radio presenter broadcast and media jobs.
